I used to have the same feeling, but a few months ago I found old CDs of my first recordings and songs and now I think I'm way better than I used to be. I still get the feeling I used to be more creative, but I get that feeling every now and then. It is just in my head.
If you feel that way, then you should focus more on the music. You gotta balance these things to avoid those feelings.
